The Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan, who turned 65 on December 25, has shared a Christmas message to his fans.
The iconic singer, who recently returned from the hospital after getting an infection, wished his followers all the best during the festive period.
On Christmas Day, Shane took to his Instagram page to share a short snippet of himself appearing cheery on the special day.

Filming himself talking to the camera, Shane said: “Happy Christmas, everybody,” as he smiled and waved.
He also captioned the tweet: “Happy Christmas everyone and thank you for all your messages and prayers.”
The star was taken to hospital on December 5 after falling ill, which lead his wife Victoria Mary Clarke to ask his fans to send “prayers and healing vibes”.
Though fortunately several weeks later Victoria revealed Shane had finally returned to the comfort of his own home.
The Fairytale of New York star’s health update spurred fans to reply to the thread sending well wishes in the comments.
One wrote: “Happy Christmas to the man and his lady ….mind yourself and thank you for the music.”
A second added: “So relieved and happy for you and Victoria and all your family n friends n fans around the world to hear that you’ll be home for your special day.
“Waves of love for you, your music, Victoria your family friends fans being sent your way forever.”
Shane is also celebrating his birthday on Christmas, which some loyal fans already knew, and hence wished him a happy birthday as well.
He managed to leave the hospital on December 14 and updated fans with a picture of him lying down in bed.
In the snap, Shane rocked a pair of black sunglasses and a fluffy hat.
His wife Victoria wrote alongside the muchly-anticipated photo on Twitter: “Shane is home and we are going to watch the football!
“Thank you everyone who has been messaging and blessings to everyone who has a loved one in hospital and who is in hospital themselves and blessings to the doctors and nurses!”
His fanbase were thrilled with the good news and also flooded the thread with support.
One Twitter user said: “He looks so snug there. Hopefully the home environment will perk him up. Good on ya @Victoriamary tending to this giant.”
Another penned: “So good that he’s home!” while another fan posted: “So happy for you!!!! Have a nice evening together.”
“Sending love and well wishes to you both,” posted another.
Whereas a fourth tweeted: “Good man Shane. You’re looking well fella.”
