Tipping Point viewers found themselves feeling offended after one contestant made a comment they found a little bit cringy.
Fans of the hit ITV gameshow were mortified when one hopeful tried to lure counters out of the machine with some well-placed words of encouragement.
The hopeful player was competing against his fellow contestants when he used a phrase that got the backs of viewers up completely.
Wayne was answering questions from host Ben Shephard when he scored a right answer and got to pick a section of the machine to coax some counters out and add to his cash prize money.
Picking drop zone two, Wayne eyed up his chances as the counters fell down into his chosen area.
The plucky salesman then decided a few wisely placed words wouldn’t go amiss as he tried to boost up his winnings.
However, saying “come on baby” as he eyed up the shiny discs was a step too far from Wayne as far as some viewers were concerned.
Taking to Twitter to air their disgust they didn’t hold back as they reprimanded him for his choice of words.
One wrote: “’Come on, baby!’ You’ve gone too far, Wayne. Too f***ing far.”
Another social media user called for him to get the axe as they posted: “Come on baby,” “Come to Daddy” or anything vaguely similar should result in instant disqualification.”
A third added: “‘Come on baby ’ is as annoying as ‘Go on my son’ or ‘come to daddy’.”
A fourth quipped: “Come on baby? What the hell. No.”
A fifth continued: “I am disgusted Tipping Point.”
Several other viewers also aired their dismay posting green vomiting faced emojis as they swiped at the phrase.
Wayne meanwhile fell on hard luck when he was pipped to his place in the final losing out to lucky contestant Mayhul who proved to be the better player in the end and took home £2750 after a stressful final round.
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV at 4pm
