Amber Gill rapidly became a household name in 2019 after winning Love Island alongside partner and rugby union star Greg O’Shea.
Her victory proved all the more remarkable after she coupled up – and broke up – with Callum Macleod, Anton Danyluk, Michael Griffiths and Ovie Soko during the course of the series, leaving Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury as the bookies’ favourites to win.
However, Amber’s popularity with viewers grew throughout the summer and continued beyond the climax of the ITV show.

Now, with more than 2.6 million followers on Instagram, she continues to live her best life in the public eye.
To celebrate her 26th birthday on Friday (August 4), Daily Star has taken a look at Amber’s sex confessions.
Sex act deemed too raunchy for TV
Back in June 2019 it was reported that Amber and Michael had got steamy under the covers in scenes that were overshadowed by similar Do Bits Society antics of Molly and Tommy on the same night.
Producers ultimately opted to not air their clip, instead broadcasting Tommy’s moans and ‘sex face’ in full glare of the villa’s cameras, along with Molly’s whisper of “Jesus Christ” in pleasure.
It wasn’t until days later that revelations of Amber and Michael’s communal bedroom scenes were documented, which saw the pair snogging in bed and their duvet covers moving in a suggestive motion.
An insider told the Mirror ar the time: “They were both moaning lots, especially Amber. The villa was super happy she may have got her happy ending but no one knows what went on.
“Everything is saying they did bits and Amber deserves a bit of happiness but maybe it shouldn’t have been so loud!”
Dating women
Two years on from Love Island Amber stunned as she attended the National Television Awards, cosying up to a room full of stars ahead of the ceremony.
In an exclusive chat with the Daily Star that night she confessed to “sometimes” preferring women on “some days” when asked about romantic rumours.
The interview came two months after Amber had sent her followers wild with a series of tweets that alluded to the fact she could potentially be more experimental with her sexuality than fans once thought.
Two months earlier the beauty had shared a video of lesbian women on TikTok showing off their “feminine” to “masculine” transformations – and captioned it with a love heart eye emoji.
It sent some excited fans crazy with many taking to Twitter to quiz her on what it could mean, with one fan asking: “Bestie I’m afraid to ask you this,” followed by a series of fruit emojis and question marks.
‘Switching teams’
In 2022 another tweet raised eyebrows after Amber cryptically alluded to “switching teams”.
In response to social media chat surrounding the latest influx of bombshells in the Love Island series that year, she declared: “Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life,” alongside a string of funny emojis.
Fans immediately reacted as she gave another update, writing: “Watching men makes me feel ill I couldn’t put myself through it again”- hinting she may be looking at dating women as she blasted the actions of the male contestants at the time.
Later opening up to host Johnny Seifert on the Secure The Insecure podcast, she clarified that although she intended to make a joke about the series, she may be putting the behaviour of men behind her.
She explained: “I’m making a joke because all those men are now acting crazy. And I’m just glad that I don’t deal with that anymore… I’ll say what I want to say when I’m ready to share, there’s no need to speculate or anything, you know, we can all see like, you know what I’m saying?”

Co-star rumours
2020 saw Amber send the rumour mill into overdrive in regards to her relationship status with her island co-star, Ovie Soko.
The Newcastle babe fuelled speculation after responding to a tweet by fashion brand, MissPap.
As the winter series of Love Island launched that year, MissPap penned: “This year’s boys are cute, but bring back Ovie” – alongside a topless snap of the hunky basketball star.
The tweet caught the attention of brand ambassador Amber, who replied to the cheeky message: “Excuse me?”
Taking to Instagram, the TV star penned: “Reunited with my one of my villa bestie Ovie Soko to watch the new season of Love Island as Just a UK Island Insider. We’ll be spilling the tea on the new islanders next week.”
Romancing England footballer claim
Rumours of a romance with England footballer Jack Grealish appeared to Amber back in 2021, meanwhile.
She was linked to the Manchester City star – as was Inbetweeners star and comedian Emily Atack – as Jack’s relationship with Sara Attwood was said to be on/off.
According to The Sun, Grealish and Amber had met up several times over the past couple of months in hotels, including one time in Leeds. It was also suggested Amber had been interviewed about the so-called affair, referring to herself as the “other woman”.
But Gill soon hit out at the claims on Instagram, declaring: “After the headlines yesterday making it look like I had given an interview saying ‘I am the other, other woman’ I have received of abusive messages and DEATH threats.
“I chose to ignore the headlines, but as the day went on I began to feel more and more angry and upset, and I’m not going to just ignore it because this behaviour needs to be challenged.
“The 2 false articles written about me have invited complete strangers to DM the most vile and intimidating things, and worse still threatened my life!
“Why?? Because they believe the complete rubbish written about me yesterday. So I’m not going to quietly ignore it. For absolute clarity, and in MY words, I’ve never been the ‘other woman’ nor will I ever be.
“And I would also never use the degrading term ‘other woman’ either (like we are collectable, trophies for men).
“How quickly you forget your OWN mental health campaign #BeKind.”
Going public with Jen Beattie
Speaking on the Sex, Lies and DM Slides podcast earlier this year, Amber finally opened up about her situation with Scottish footballer Jen Beattie.
The pair had been spotted together on numerous occasions and had shared many snaps of their blossoming relationship together.
After chatting romance with Amber, the Spotify podcast hosts Saffron Barker and Anastasia Kingsnorth asked: “What’s your situation right now? Are you with someone?”
Amber replied: “Yeah. It’s so cute. It’s the cutest thing in the whole world. But yeah, we’re like dating… like yeah.”
She continued: “You know what it is, I don’t know what to say because it’s just like [new]. It’s been like three months or so, so you just kind of don’t know but I like that.”
Following rumous of a split in April, the pair stepped out together at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in June to catch the UK leg of Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour.
They were snapped in high spirits as Amber declared on her Instagram story: “I have never been so excited in my life. I want to cry.”
