Love Island Axe
Many were surprised to hear of Arielle’s abrupt exit ahead of the fourth season of Love Island US.
Vandenberg took to social media to set the record straight after the initial shock that she wouldn’t be returning.
In an Instagram post, Arielle wrote: “I was cast to be the host of CBS’s version of Love Island and we had three amazing seasons! Unfortunately, CBS didn’t pick it up for a fourth season.”
Vandenberg’s exit was part of a huge rebrand in preparation for the show’s move over to the streaming platform Peacock, which also saw the show’s narrator axed.
However, Arielle took the news in her stride and admitted she would “never forget the day” she was picked to host the dating show.
She ended by saying: “I wouldn’t have traded the experience for anything, so with that being said, my time on Love Island is over. I have 30 minutes to pack my bags and say my goodbyes.”
Upon the show’s move, Modern Family star Sarah Hyland replaced Arielle as the show’s presenter.
Personal Life
Arielle took her relationship with her now-husband Matt Cutshall public back in 2017 and the pair announced their engagement two years later.

Vandenberg had also previously dated Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner from 2011 to 2014.
Back in March 2023, Arielle sparked concern among her fans after sharing a text post on her Instagram profile.
She shared a picture of what appeared to be a pile of linen sheet and confessed: “I have been going through one of the most difficult times of my life. You may not see it here on Instagram but I’m dealing with it behind the scenes.”
Arielle continued on to say that she has “been searching for meaning in all of the mess” and that she had been “hopping from Airbnb to Airbnb,” implying that she hadn’t had a permanent place of residence.
Vandenberg closed off by saying: “My heart was cracked open in such a different way. It felt scary and vulnerable. Some days I would just wake up and cry out of confusion. ‘Why am I here?’ ‘What am I doing?’”
Naturally friends and family were upset to hear of Arielle’s upset and flocked to shower the presenter in love.
Twilight actor Taylor Lautner told the star: “We love you,” before Daniella Monet gushed that she “feels so lucky to call her a friend”.
