BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay had the studio in hysterics as he begged co-star Carol Kirkwood: “Where are you?”, joking that she’d seemingly disappeared from screen.
In a rather chaotic segment one foggy January morning, Carol was all set to present the weather as usual, with host Sally Nugent explaining to viewers: “First let’s go to Carol, who has this morning’s weather for us. And Carol, it’s foggy again in places!”
Interrupting with a quip of his own, Jon asked: “Where are you, Carol? Where are you?!” pretending the presenter was lost in a sea of impenetrable fog with her misty landscape backdrop on-screen.

Not to be outdone, Carol fired back with a quip of her own, however, snapping: “I’m in a wee corner in West One!”, as the hosts erupted into giggles.
Meanwhile, the star updated fans on the weather situation via Twitter too, explaining: “Watch out for fog this morning. The Met Office has a yellow weather warning in force until 10:30 for the areas covered below… but there is some patchy fog elsewhere too.”
It comes after Carol finally addressed those on-screen feud rumours with host Naga Munchetty.
The pair regularly trade quips, and there have been a number of awkward moments over the years – with Naga branding Carol “frosty” just last week.
Speaking to The Sun, weather expert Carol explained: “I love Naga and we just have banter. I love the camaraderie between us and everyone. It’s a good, fun job.”
Elsewhere on Breakfast this Tuesday (January 24), fans found themselves dazzled by Sally Nugent’s stunning purple jacket – comparing her to Purple Rain hitmaker Prince.
Sally looked stunning in a double-breasted blazer with matching trousers and a cream frilly shirt, with brass buttons lining her sleeves.
Taking to Twitter to comment on the eye-catching look, one fan said: “Sally looking like she’s a huge Prince fan!”
As another posted: “Prince vibes on the #BBCBreakfast sofa this morning [heart emoji].”
“Is BBC Breakfast sponsored by Cadbury?” someone else joked.
Another social media user told Sally: “Wow, Sally! That suit is magnificent!”
While a fifth begged: “Usually would never ask but your trouser suit is stunning. Please could I know where this is from?”
There were plenty of quips traded between Sally and Jon, too, as the pair were left in hysterics at a beaver scratching itself live on the telly.
During a segment on beaver conservation, Sally quipped: “I don’t know which [beaver] it was, but Woody or Twiggy having a good old scratch there.”
Jon giggled as he commented: “Yesterday we had an escaping duck, this morning we’ve got beavers! There you go.”
