BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay was left “in trouble” as Sally Nugent issued a stern warning to her co-host on Monday (February 20).
The duo sat on the red sofa as they kicked off the week, talking viewers through the breaking news stories around the country.
This led Jon, 53, to reveal that an art exhibition visitor accidentally knocked over a limited edition porcelain balloon dog sculpture by world-famous artist Jeff Koons.

The blue sculpture was on display at the Bel-Air Fine Art’s booth in London when it was accidentally smashed to pieces, with BBC Breakfast showing images of the dog before and after the incident.
This prompted the presenter to recall a time when he was misbehaving when he was younger and ended up knocking over a display.
He told Sally he went to Owen Owen department store in Chester and ended up “racing around” a display with his little brother.
“My mum told me do not run around that display. But I did and I knocked over this whole display of 200 Easter eggs which were in mugs,” the newsreader explained.
“So it wasn’t just Easter eggs but pottery everywhere!,” he added.
A stunned Sally gasped: “No!” as Jon joked: “In trouble!”
Not wanting history to repeat itself, Sally issued a stern warning to her co-host.
“No running around the sofa Jon Kay, just stay very still, do not move!,” the 51-year-old demanded.“I’m going to have a word with him now while we go to the weather.”
As Sally led into the weather, BBC Breakfast’s regular meteorologist Carol Kirkwood was nowhere to be seen.
Stepping in for the beloved Scottish star was fellow weather presenter Matt Taylor who warned Brits of a cloudy start across some parts of the country.
Addressing Carol’s absence, Matt, 46, told the presenters: “This morning I think Carol has run off with a bit of sunshine in her bag”.
