BBC Breakfast presenter Emma Vardy has announced that she’s given birth to her first child.
The 42-year-old star took to Instagram on Monday (August 28) with an adorable snap showing her beaming from her hospital bed and hugging her baby boy.
And the business presenter couldn’t help quipping that her big baby news was likely her “best breaking news ever”.

The new mum wrote: “Presenting my best breaking news ever. Baby boy Jago Fionn is here At just a few hours old, playing a little camera shy.
“Huge thanks to the dedicated & talented midwives & doctors at Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital, for looking after us so well.
“Smitten & so in love.”
Emma’s fans and friends were thrilled with the news and rushed to wish her congratulations in the comments.
One wrote: “Congratulations!!! And thanks for sharing your journey with us”.
Another commented: “Congratulations, many blessings on the birth of your beautiful son.”
A third added: “Many congratulations to you both – I’m sure he is gorgeous x.”
Emma revealed she was pregnant back in May and had been keeping fans updated with plenty of snaps of her growing baby bump over the last few months.
Emma has been standing in for BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst as business correspondent recently, as Nina herself has been on maternity leave with her third child.
She’s started her family with husband Aaron Adams, whom she married in March of last year.
The fitness lover previously asked followers for advice on working out while pregnant as she was filming a piece on it for Breakfast.
Sharing a gym snap, she wrote: “Ladies I’d like to hear your experiences of hitting the gym during pregnancy?
“Runners too, what conflicting views, myths, advice did you hear? Do we get enough guidance on exercise during the 9 months? Filming a piece for @BBCBreakfast about this.”
