BBC presenter ‘taken off air after paying teenager thousands for sexual pictures’

A BBC star has reportedly been taken off air while an investigation looks into claims he paid a teenager for sexual pictures.

The presenter is accused of handing the youngster over £35,000 since they were 17 years of age.

In return, he asked the alleged recipient for sordid images.

The teenager’s mum has told The Sun that their child has been using the money to fund a crack cocaine drug addiciton.

She said that blames the star in question for “destroying” her child’s life.

Speaking to the publication, the mother said the star had taken “child’s innocence” and that crack cocaine “could kill my child”.

The mum added: “When I see him on telly, I feel sick.”

The family reportedly issued a complaint to the BBC about his behaviour in May this year.

The heartbroken mum said her child, who is now 20, is now a “ghost-like crack addict” over the three-year period.

She went on to reveal that her child’s band statement shows numerous deposits from the star.

The parent added that he sent £5,000 at once on one occasion for a sexual explicit photograph of her child.

A BBC spokesperson said: “We treat any allegations very seriously and we have processes in place to proactively deal with them.

“As part of that, if we receive information that requires further investigation or examination we will take steps to do this.

“That includes actively attempting to speak to those who have contacted us in order to seek further detail and understanding of the situation.
