Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas branded Bobby Brazier the “King of the ballroom” after his latest dance.
The EastEnders star, 20, opened the semi-finals alongside partner Dianne Buswell with a Quickstep to ‘Mack the Knife’ by Bobby Darin. After their performance, Shirley couldn’t compliment Bobby enough on how he’s improved since the competition started.
Turning to Anton Du Beke, Shirley exclaimed: “I must now strip you of your King of ballroom title and give it to Bobby. Week one, six’s, seven’s and and odd eight there but you have come out tonight and given us the frame, you’ve shifted across that floor.”

She declared: “You are now King of ballroom.” Dianne jumped up and down in excitement as Bobby began bowing to the audience.”
“That’s a high accolade,” said Tess Daly. “Shall we see if the other King of ballroom agrees after having his crown stolen.”
Anton chipped in: “It took me years to get that and he got in five minutes!” The former Strictly pro went on to compliment Bobby’s performance, admitting it made him emotional.
He added: “It’s because I was so delighted with where you’ve come from to what you’ve put on the floor right there. You shifted across the floor.”
The 57-year-old gushed: “I don’t know about Dianne but I am enormously proud of you.” While Craig Revel Horwood had a few issues with the routine, he also pointed out Bobby’s impressive journey in the competition.
Craig said: “The improvement in your hands is amazing. Class, sophisticated, you covered the floor, I thought it was brilliant.” Motsi Mabuse agreed: “What a way of showing you want to be in that final no matter what.
“I think it’s one of the best ballroom dances you’ve done.” The judges comments reflected in their scores as Bobby received 38 out of 40. Not only is it Bobby’s best score yet, it’s the highest scoring Quickstep from this series.
