Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Rippon is tipped to become the next celebrity to leave the competition.
The 79-year-old presenter could be set for her final twirl around the dancefloor with partner Kai Widdrington this weekend as she’s the bookies favourite to be eliminated. Angela and the rest of the remaining contestants will dance in Blackpool on Saturday (November 18) night as they continue to battle for the prestigious Glitterball trophy.
Angela and Kai have faced the dreaded dance-off for the past two weeks and it looks like it could be three time unlucky for the pair if they fail to get enough votes from the public. According to BetVictor, Angela is 1/2 likely to be given the boot followed by ex-tennis player Annabel Croft and her dance partner Johannes Radebe at 9/4.

Sam Boswell, spokesperson of BetVictor, has shared his insight on the Strictly markets ahead of the series, saying: ““In the elimination market, Angela Rippon is the favourite to be the next celebrity eliminated at 1/2. Angela and her dance partner Kai are dancing American Smooth to Tea for Two by Ella Fitzgerald. She has survived both dance-offs, firstly against Adam Thomas and last weekend against Krishnan Guru-Murthy. I think she’s at risk this weekend.
“Close behind her is Annabel; she’s priced up at 9/4. She was the second favourite to be eliminated last weekend at 7/4, so it’s not looking good! Annabel and Johannes are dancing the American Smooth to Unchained Melody by Benedetta Caretta. They must give everything it takes to avoid the bottom two.” Former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach are her professional partner Vito Coppola are currently favourite to win the competition but it could be anybody’s at the point as there’s still weeks remaining.
Sam continued: “Ellie Leach is the new favourite to lift the Glitterball trophy in the winners’ market. She is coming in at 2/5 now – a significant improvement from when the market first went live, as she was priced at 12/1. They couldn’t top the leaderboard with their rumba to Cyndi Lauper’s True Colours last weekend, and they once again formed the top two alongside Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin.”
“Nigel Harman’s odds have drifted slightly. He was the number one favourite a few weeks ago, priced up at 7/4, but now he has the odds 9/2. Last week, him and Katya Jones got their Couple’s Choice, which they put to good use performing a moving narrative to Bruno Mars track Just The Way You Are, which the actor dedicated to his wife and daughter.”

“Despite Layton’s score of a near-perfect 39 points, with Craig Revel Horwood’s 9 keeping the couple from their first 40, his odds haven’t improved and is a non-mover – coming in at 12/1. Layton and Nikita are performing Couple’s Choice to Ain’t No Other Man by Christina Aguilera – will they get their first 40 this week?”
Strictly Come Dancing continues this weekend on BBC One
