Below Deck star Captain Lee Rosbach ‘not returning for series 11’ amid health battle

Below Deck’s beloved Captain Lee Rosbach reportedly won’t return to the Bravo show for season 11 amid his ongoing health battles.

The telly star, 73, has been struggling with mobility issues which forced him to leave his boat and crew behind during season 10.

And now he is reportedly being replaced by Captain Kerry Titheradge for the new series, which is slated to begin filming in Grenada later this week.

Bidding goodbye in season 10, Lee vowed he would be back on deck soon, telling his gathered co-workers: “I’m gonna go back to the States, get this straightened out and as soon as I do, I’ll be on the first plane back here and tell whoever’s on board to get the f**k off my boat.”

He told the gathered crew members: “As you guys know I’ve been struggling with my mobility, and it’s been hard and I’ve let you guys down and for that, I apologise.

“My mind’s there, my heart’s there, my body just won’t cooperate. I’ve never quit, and this time I have to.

“So I’ve made a decision to leave the boat.”

In his place was Below Deck Mediterranean captain Sandy Yawn, who stepped in for Lee.

Lee was seen on crutches around the ship due to severe nerve damage after undergoing a surgery on his back.

In 2021, two years after the death of his son Joshua, Captain Lee suffered an injury that left him with numbness on the left side of his body.

He explained to The Los Angeles Times: “Some days are better than others. Other days, I’m just a f***ing train wreck. I’ll be sitting at a stoplight, something will trigger it, and I just come apart like a cheap suit.”

And though his condition is improving according to US Weekly, the star won’t be in any shape to return to filming so soon.

However, Lee has remained very active on social media, and regularly retweets posts begging for his return to the programme.

When one fan asked: “In all seriousness, are you going back to work or hanging up the walkie-talkie for good? You’re the best, get well soon!” the captain was quick to respond: “Not planning on it any time soon.”
