Big Brother’s Lauren Harries gives health update after emergency brain surgery

Lauren Harries is recovering in hospital as her mother updated her loyal legion of fans after undergoing emergency brain surgery last week.

On Friday (April 14), the Celebrity Big Brother star, 45, was rushed to hospital for the emergency procedure.

While the cause for her invasive surgery remains unknown, her mum Katy has been regularly updating fans on her condition over the weekend.

On Tuesday (April 18), Katy took to her daughter’s Twitter account to share a picture of the star as she shared the latest news on her developing condition.

In her latest snap, Lauren could be seen in a hospital bed wrapped up in a purple dressing gown and a mint green blanket.

She captioned the post: “Yesterday they moved Lauren back to recovery, she is under close watch. She still has memory issues and confusion.

“The doctors say that she does no need another operation atm (at the moment) they are taking it day by day. Please pray for her and send her your love. Thank you for your kindness.”

On Monday, Katy revealed that the TV personality “would have died” had she not had the emergency surgery as she explained how doctors had to perform the star’s “worst nightmare” by shaving her blonde locks.

While laying in hospital with an art book in hand, Lauren still managed to flash a smile for the camera while wrapped in bandages.

The caption read: “Lauren has woken up after her brain surgery. They had to shave her hair. As you know this is Lauren’s worst nightmare but she would have died if not.

“The amazing staff in the Heath Hospital have been wonderful. Thank you for your kind words, her recovery ahead. Update to follow.”

Fans immediately flooded to the comments to pass on their well wishes and a speedy recovery to the star and her family online.
