Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien revealed her character Sarah Barlow’s marriage to Adam (played by Sam Robertson) is “over” following her husband’s cruel gender reveal party surprise.
Over the past few weeks, ITV fans have been glued to their screens desperate to watch the fallout of Sarah’s affair with bad boy Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths).
Earlier this year, the blonde bombshell became involved in a passionate affair with the criminal behind her husband’s back.

Luckily, her solicitor husband managed to forgive her infidelity but things got even messier for the struggling couple after she became pregnant with no idea who is the father of her unborn child.

Now, with their relationship rockier than ever, the 39-year-old is convinced the former power couple of the cobbles will call time on their marriage for good.
In an interview with Daily Star and other publications, she told us that Adam’s cruel revenge will be the “final nail in the coffin” for them.
The actor explained: “I think she knows the marriage is over but she’s desperately hoping that maybe she could talk him around.

“I think it’s possibly the final nail in the coffin in the department of trust, but I think that they probably still love each other.
“I think if I had my way, I’d quite like to see them not be able to be together when they want to be together.”
She went on: “I love the idea of Sarah meeting someone new or Adam meeting someone new and there’s something going wrong and then almost getting back together but they can’t and then maybe a baby comes along to just [squash noise].”

Although their marriage may be doomed, the soap star confessed that Adam is still Sarah’s “person” and hopes that they will be able to reconnect in the future.
Tina revealed: “There’s a really nice scene where Adam’s with his granddad and his granddad is trying to explain his time with Deirdre and there was a lot of affairs and lots of ups and downs but at the end of the day they were each other’s person.

“So I’d like to think that Sarah and Adam are each other’s person but whether or not they can actually be together, I don’t know.”
Fans will have to tune in to see if the couple will be able to make things work or whether their marriage truly is over.
