Dancing on Ice was thrown into chaos on Sunday night (March 12) when hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were forced to delay the show.
With problems happening backstage, where one celebrity allegedly “wasn’t ready” in time to skate out, both Holly and Phil had to issue an announcement.
Hosting the grand finale, which saw The Vivienne, Joey Essex and Nile Wilson go up against each other, the stars of 2023 were brought onto the ice.

Before they were, Phil said: “This year’s couples have all played a huge part so please welcome back our 2023 skating stars and their partners.”
Phillip told viewers: “They’ll be here in just a second. Apparently somebody is not ready.”
“I think there’s a final bit of lacing up the boots,” Holly teased as she spoke to the camera.
Keeping viewers at home and in the studio audience entertained despite the slight delay, Holly and Phil spoke about how the former helped Love Island’s Ekin-Su sort out her skates.
Holly explained how it was “the mum” in her which is why she jumped to assist the star.
“Has somebody got nerves? Can we shame someone for this, can we name them? Oh we’ve got them now,” she later added.
But all was fine soon when the celebrities emerged from the ice tunnel.
After they had arrived on the ice, Phillip said: “All things are worth waiting for.”
This came before the winner of the 2023 series was crowned, with Olympian Nile Wilson snatching the title after being voted as the champion by viewers at home.
Joey Essex came second place after skating the Bolero with skating partner Vanessa Bauer.
And drag icon The Vivienne placed third after a show-stopping performance to a Katy Perry track and a strong skate during the battle.
