Dawn French looks very different after changing her hair up for her role of Dame Trot in the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.
The 65-year-old, who is best-known for having brunette locks chopped into a short bob and complete with a fringe, has recently been embracing her grey hair.
But for panto season she switched it up even more and toned it purple.

With a lavender hue and a shorter length, Dawn switched things up while portraying Dame Trot in the show that has been on-stage at the London Palladium.
Taking to her Instagram stories and grid this week, Dawn has been sharing some behind-the-scenes snaps as the show run wraps up.
In one video she re-enacted a part from the Vicar Of Dibley while donning a sparkly sequinned dress and her purple locks styled atop her head.
Looking very different from how fans know of her, they were taken aback by the display.
“The hair,” someone wrote in the comments section beside a flame emoji.
While another added: “Love the hair colour!”
And in recent snaps on Twitter and Instagram that see Dawn sporting lavender locks, fans have been going wild over her look.
“Simply gorgeous Dawn! Like Miss Little Bo Peep,” wrote one underneath the promotional shot for the panto show.
“MILF,” someone exclaimed on a mirror selfie of the actress and comedian.
While on the same mirror selfie, someone else said: “Beautiful lady xx.”
Speaking to Good Housekeeping magazine last April, Dawn addressed her hairstyle change.
Dawn explained how her grey hair-do came about in lockdown, revealing: “The real trigger came during the lockdowns when I was dying my hair myself, and I just couldn’t be bothered to keep doing it.”
“I let my natural grey come through,” Dawn continued.
Adding: “I also cut some of it myself – to my hairdresser’s alarm!”
