Hollywood’s Drew Barrymore has revealed that she embraces the natural look and steers clear of cosmetic surgery due to fears that she will get “addicted.”
In an interview with PEOPLE, the star explained that she spent years getting clean from substances, and she doesn’t think starting plastic surgery is worth it. Drew said: “I have a highly addictive personality, so I worry I’d continue to chase it, get this and that done.
“That scares me, just because of my own approach to things. So, I’m waiting on making any alterations.” The Hollywood icon added that she doesn’t “judge” people for getting work done it just isn’t for her.

The actress explained that she hasn’t done anything to reverse signs of ageing. In fact, she plans to try to “maintain that as long as possible.” She ‘doesn’t see herself resorting’ to surgery”, but does use cosmetic and beauty products that are more temporary.
Drew said that she has dyed her hair so often that she “doesn’t even remember what her actual hair colour is.” Speaking about ageing naturally she said: “It means you’re alive, you’re living, and that’s a really good thing. Embracing ageing is such positive, healthy messaging.”
The 50 First Dates star explained that she thinks being healthy is the most important thing of all and that she preaches this to her two daughters. Drew said: “Health really comes into focus more than anything when there is peril. If you have your health, then you can focus on so many other things — including beauty. But it really is the most important thing of all.”

Drew has suffered from her addictive personality in the past and has often been candid about her battle. She rose to fame as a child and started drinking at the age of 11 and by 12 years old she had a cocaine addiction.
Soon she was hospitalised after attempting suicide at only age 13. Drew has a long and difficult recovery and at one point she relapsed after her 2016 divorce.
