Hollyoaks youngster Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) could be about to get revenge on his step-father James Nightgale (Gregory Finnegan).
In recent scenes of the Channel 4 soap, James locked his troublesome stepson Lucas, who he shares with husband Ste Hay (Kieron Richardons), in an abandoned shed in a move that mirrored the abusive way James’ own dad Mac Nightingale used to treat him when he was younger.
Ste and Leah Barnes were left concerned (Elá-May Melek Demircan) when they discovered that Lucas’ bed had not been slept in. Covering for his abusive behaviour, James lied telling them that Lucas had called to say he was staying at a friend’s house. When James let Lucas out of the shed, he made Lucas promise not to tell anyone before he would let him out.

“I took no pleasure in doing this to you Lucas, I hope you know that, but you needed to be taught a lesson. I’m not going to let anyone come between me and your father, let me know we’re on the same page,” James told Lucas. When Lucas told Ste the fake story about staying with a friend, his dad didn’t believe him. “Something is off with him,” Ste said to hubby James.

Artificially intelligent “creative” tool Bard AI has told Daily Star that Lucas may seek revenge on James in upcoming scenes. It said: “Lucas has a history of being a troubled and vengeful character. In the past, he has acted out in violent ways, and he has been known to hold grudges. Second, Lucas was deeply traumatised by his experience in the shed. He was held captive and he was subjected to psychological abuse. This experience is likely to have left him with a deep resentment towards James.
There are a few potential opportunities for Lucas to get revenge on James. For example, Lucas could expose James’s dark secret or he could sabotage James’s relationship with his husband, Ste Hay. Given Lucas’s history and the events of the past few weeks, it is certainly a possibility.
“Lucas and James have a complicated relationship. They are step-father and son, but they have never really gotten along. Lucas has always been resentful of James, and he has often blamed him for his own problems. This suggests that Lucas may be motivated to get revenge on James as a way of getting back at him for all the pain he has caused him.
“There are a number of potential consequences to Lucas taking revenge on James. If he is caught, he could face legal trouble. He could also damage his relationship with his father, Ste. Additionally, taking revenge could make Lucas feel worse in the long run.” Fans will have to wait and see if Lucas will get his own back on Ste.
