EastEnders teased a “never done before” storyline for the soap months ago involving Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and a handful of other ladies on Albert Square.
On Monday, February 20, the storyline was revealed as the soap tease a 10-month flash forward for the first time on the BBC show.

In the flash forward, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) stood over the body of a man.
As the mystery surrounds who the man on the ground was, fans have started to develop theories – and it could be a long-standing character who meets his demise.
At the end of Monday’s episode, the ladies were sat in the bar and drank “to men”, before adding: “May they get what they deserve” in their final cheers.
Moments later it flashed forward 10 months to Christmas Day 2023 and an incredibly bloodied scene with all six ladies in the room.
But with no solid clues to give away who it was laying on the floor, the only thing fans have to go on is cufflinks – which look incredibly similar to ones Phil Mitchell owns.
Taking to an EastEnders Spoilers page, one person shared side-by-side photos of the cufflinks on the victim and Phil joining arms with Kat Slater while wearing a similar pair.
Fans immediately rushed to comment on the similarity as one user wrote: “Got months of those cuff links being lost, sold, stolen, borrowed blah blah.”
While another said: “It may be that the groom has all his groomsmen wearing the same cufflinks.”
A third said: “It’s a red herring,” and a fourth claimed that EastEnders “wouldn’t kill off Phil.”
Meanwhile others think the man could be Dean after he was mentioned on the show on Monday night and triggered Linda’s memories of the sexual assault.
Phil could be placed at the centre of the murder given his history with Sharon, but fans were certainly confused to see her in a wedding dress.
Viewers have narrowed Sharon’s husband down to two people – Keanu and Phil, but will it be the groom who is taken down on his wedding day? Or one of his groomsmen?
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7.30pm
