Emmerdale Caleb Dingle’s future ‘sealed’ – Charity pregnancy twist to Joe Tate return

Caleb Dingle is left for dead in Emmerdale this week after a mystery assailant pushes him off the woodland ridge.

The soap villain has plenty of enemies in the village following an explosive week – and fans have begun speculating what could happen next.

Will Caleb die following the fall? Or will he survive? And will the culprit be caught?

Charity pregnancy twist

Fans were left in shock this week after Charity Dingle sought solace in Caleb’s arms – leading to a steamy one night stand.

Similar to her fling with Cain Dingle, viewers have predicted that there could be a huge pregnancy twist in store for Charity, with one saying on social media: “Maybe Charity discovers she’s pregnant.”

“And she’ll get pregnant,” agreed a second, with a third commenting: “What comes next? She’s pregnant?”

“I reckon Charity will turn out to be pregnant,” added a fourth.

Meanwhile, another viewerr referenced a previous interview with Emmerdale bosses, which suggested that there could be a new baby on the way soon.

“Emmerdale boss said unexpected marriage and a new baby in coming months,” the fan wrote.

So could the new baby be Charity’s?

All signs seem to suggest so, but viewers have not ruled out the possibility that Mack could be the father instead – and not Caleb.

With Mack and Chloe growing closer since the birth of baby Reuben, Charity’s pregnancy would come as a huge shock for the couple, with one fan saying: “Oh that would put the cat among the pigeons. Mack wouldn’t know what to do then.”

Caleb dies

Caleb is pushed from the woodland ridge this week – so could this mean the end for the newcomer?

Fans are divided over the subject, with some thinking that Caleb will die following the fall.

Taking to a fan forum, one viewer wrote: “I guess William Ash was available only for a short contract, so killing Caleb seemed the best way to capitalize on his stint, with him dead the whodunnit can go on for months.”

“Do we know for certain if he dies? It will be such a shame to lose him, the one Dingle I actually find interesting,” asked another.

However, other viewers are convinced that Caleb will survive – and are hoping that the character may redeem himself for his actions in the future.

One viewer wrote on the fan forum: “I’d be shocked if they killed him off, but live or die; Emmerdale have really missed out on making this story to be something special. Rather than another resident shoved off a bridge or cliffs. I hope if Caleb is staying they build his character to be something special.”

“He’ll probably return from the dead again,” suggested another.

A third agreed: “He surely won’t die next week anyway, that would be terrible ending. I don’t even understand why Cain/the Dingles have it out for him so much.”

Joe Tate return

While all fingers are pointing towards a few familiar faces in the village following Caleb’s fateful fall, fans think they have worked out that the suspect behind the crime could be a character set to make a return.

Viewers have taken to social media to point out that Caleb’s attacker could potentially be Joe Tate.

It was originally presumed that Joe was dead following an altercation with Cain Dingle, but it was later revealed that he was alive and living off money from Kim’s business.

However, following the revelation that Caleb is Frank Tate’s son and wants to win back his birth right of Home Farm, could Joe return to put a stop to Caleb’s plan?

Fans seem to think so, with one asking: “Who do we think will push Caleb off the cliff then? Also do you think Joe Tate could return?”

A second penned: “I wonder if this will spark a Joe Tate comeback now that everything is out in the open.”

“And still no answer to WHERE IS JOE TATE?,” a third commented, with a fourth saying: “Does that mean Joe is still alive?”

Meanwhile, other fans think that another Tate could return and take revenge on Caleb too, with another saying: “Jamie (Kim’s son) comes out of hiding and gets revenge.”

Could time be up for Caleb? Viewers will have to wait and see.
