Emmerdale fans have been eft fearing Laurel could die after she was kidnapped by creepy councillor Colin on Tuesday night (August 8).
Earlier in the episode after much deliberation, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) who arrived in the Dales way back in 2002, had decided to travel to India to support her new husband, Jai, at his dad Rishi’s funeral.
Rishi was tragically killed off in dramatic scenes last month as he prepared to attend Laurel and Jai’s big day.

With Jai flying solo, Laurel headed over to Colin’s house in order to retrieve the passport of his son, Marshall, who had expressed a desire to travel abroad on holiday in the wake of his break-up from boyfriend Arthur last month.
Although there was no answer at Colin’s house on her way to the airport, Laurel entered his property through an open door where she found his living room in disarray.
Then, appearing behind her, Colin slammed his front door shut before Laurel calmly suggested the pair sit down for a cup of tea.
However, the atmosphere soon took a turn for the worse as Colin despaired in losing his son from the “righteous path” in reference to him being gay, adding that the ‘devil had also found a way in’ to Laurel’s son, Marshall.

Refusing to listen to Colin any further, Laurel proceeded to rummage through Marshall’s bedroom for the passport.
Irate Colin appeared once more, declaring that everything had been fine until until her “perverted little son” had come into their lives.
Then, as scared Laurel threatened to call the police, Colin told her she wasn’t going anywhere as he waved her phone in front of her.
And thwarting her attempts o flee the room, unhinged Colin grabbed a padlock and locked her away.
Laurel’s fate is now seemingly in the hands of the villagers as she awaits the realisation she is missing and a rescue mission.
Concerned viewers took to X – formerly Twitter – during the episode with many fearing she could be killed.
“Laurel is going to die, I can just tell her time is up,”
Another wrote: “I get that Laurel feels sorry for him but there’s no helping that man, he’s a complete nutter #Emmerdale.”
A third pointed out: “This is wild because if something happens to Laurel, they’ll assume she has gone to India #Emmerdale.”
And a fourth said: “OMG poor Laurel, it’s not looking good for her.”
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
