Colin told Laurel that everything had been fine until her “perverted little son” had come into their lives,” as Laurel threatened to call the police, Colin told her she wasn’t going anywhere and grabbed a padlock and locked her away.
And now, speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, Charlotte has admitted that things are only going to get worse in the meantime.
She joined Christine Lampard on the daytime TV show and gave some more insight into her character’s predicament.
Charlotte said: “Yeah no one is going to be looking for me, they think I’m in the air. So she’s going to be stuck there for a few days. But it gets worse, it gets worse, before it gets better.”
She also explained the deeper reasoning behind Colin’s actions, adding: “He’s unravelling, but it stems really from, as the audience will find out, grief.
“He lost his wife, and that’s what it all stems from.”
Speaking of the filming process, Charlotte said: “We filmed that in about two days in that really hot weather that we had.
“There was like 10 of us in one tiny room in a house on location so in a way it was really fun because it was something slightly different. We were away from the studio, away from the village. So it was like a mini film.”
Laurel has now needed to leave her fate in the hands of the villagers as she awaits someone realising she is missing.
Fans were fearing she’s going to face her demise as her nearest and dearest fear she would be in India.
While Laurel hasn’t given too much away in regards to her fate, she did admit that things will get better down the line – so it looks like Laurel does manage to get out of captivity.
