Forgotten Friends star marries man she met on Bumble in intimate ranch wedding

Friends star Bonnie Somerville has tied the knot with her partner in an intimate ranch wedding after meeting him on dating app Bumble.

Bonnie played Mona in the iconic US sitcom back in 2001 and 2002, before landing roles in shows like NYPD Blue, Blue Bloods and Law & Order.

Her character Mona dated Ross Gellar in Friends, just after Ross learned that his ex Rachel was pregnant with his baby. The pair split when Ross asked Rachel to move in with him – signalling an end to his romance with Mona.

The actress didn’t believe in soulmates until she met the love of her life via Bumble, just weeks before the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown.

Now the pair have exchanged vows in the Santa Susana Mountains of California, at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch.

Their first dance was to a cover version of Rihanna’s Umbrella played by Ember Island, and guests could tuck into a special wedding breakfast of filet mignon, pistachio, crusted halibut and vegetable risotto.

Bonnie confessed to People Magazine that she and creative director Dave first met by chance when she logged into Bumble and saw that he had left her a message.

“There was 10 minutes left for me to reply,” she told the publication. “It was so random because had I not logged in to show my friend, I never would have met him!
