Gladiators pin-up Jet engaged to ‘gorgeous lady’ she met at the supermarket

Ex-Gladiators star Jet has revealed that she is tying the knot with a woman she met in a supermarket.

The pin-up, whose real name is Diane Youdale, said that the woman approached her last year whilst she shopping.

She revealed how the two met on the Chillin’ with Ice podcast, saying she was “very happy” in her relationship.

Youdale was also joined by her fiancée Zoe in the episode, and the loved-up couple were seen to be cuddling.

Zoe said on the podcast she felt “embarrassed” during the recording, saying she hadn’t fixed her hair properly.

The TV legend of the 1990s had initially “put off relationships for life” after a long-term relationship she was in broke down.

But after meeting her partner Zoe just one year ago, the pair fell in love and are now set to get hitched.

Speaking on the podcast, Youdale, 53, said: “Just over a year ago, a gorgeous lady approached me in my local supermarket. Over a year later, we’re going to get married.

“We are what we are. It doesn’t matter. And I don’t give a damn.”

She added: “I’m safe and I’m loved and there’s no threat to me anymore and that’s what means the world to me.”

The podcast is hosted by Ice, who appeared on the original American version of the show.

Ice, whose real name is Lori Fetrick, also publicly came out as gay in 2008.

Talking with the Gladiator sex symbol, Lori said she noticed more support than ever for LGBT people.

“Today’s day and age, people are so accepting of everyone and it doesn’t matter who you are because it’s a matter of who you are as a person,” she admitted.

Jet was a part of the ITV show Gladiators from 1992 to 1996, but had to leave due to a serious neck injury.

Hosted by Ulrika Jonsson and John Fashanu, the then-22 year old had an affair with Hunter, whose real name is James Crossley.

The show ended in 2000, but a new reboot of the series hosted by Bradley and Barney Walsh is set to hit screens on the BBC later this year.
