I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly confirmed to those watching at home that Grace Dent had left the jungle but was “doing fine”.
It was Ant who said: “A day of big news in the jungle and sadly, Grace Dent has left the camp for medical reasons but she’s doing fine and we all send our best.” With Dec following up with: “We certainly do.”
The camp that includes This Morning’s Josie Gibson, JLS’s Marvin Humes and politician Nigel Farage were all seen receiving a letter from Grace after she’d already left. It was Nick Pickard who read the letter aloud.
He began: “My Dear campmates, I’m so sorry to let you down. My heart is broken.” There was a moment of shock as co-stars came together in disbelief that the Masterchef star had exited the show.

Earlier today, a spokesperson for ITV confirmed that the Masterchef critic had departed camp. They added: “Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.”
Prior to the food reviewers swift exit, there had been calls from fans online that she hadn’t looked at all well. As online users took to the platform X – formerly Twitter to air their views.
Worried fans penned: “F*** me Grace Dent looks ill’ as a second agreed adding: “I didn’t even recognise Grace Dent omg is she ok? She looks ….so different.”
Others asked: “Is Grace okay?? Sis isn’t even doing any trials and looks like she’s struggling,” and “Is Grace Dent ok? She doesn’t look alive to me….”
There was further speculation that Grace had hotfooted after she was voted by the Great British public to undergo the next Bushtucker trial. With the foodie ducking out before her turn.
A source close to the BBC star, told the Mail Online that being voted for the Touchdown of Terror trial – alongside This Morning’s Josie Gibson – would have been “the straw that broke the camel’s back”. They pinpointed this for being the main reason for her exit.
As Grace’s time was cut short before the trial which has not happened in the shows history before – it was unsure who would join Josie in the challange.
It was later confirmed that EastEnders actress Danielle Harold had placed third in the public vote, meaning she will now join This Morning’s Josie in the dreaded Bushtucker trial this evening.
I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here! airs on ITV1 and ITVX nightly at 9pm
