I’m A Celebrity: South Africa star Helen Flanagan was branded a “bimbo” during her first show stint, says Nicola McLean.
The ex-campmate and Page 3 star shared her thoughts on the current lineup of the all-stars show.
Nicola starred on the show herself back in 2008 and is the Daily Star I’m a Celebrity columnist this year.

Talking about Corrie star Helen, who starred on the show in 2012, Nicola exclusively said: “I think Helen was so stereotyped before and I think we have moved on, we are way further forward with how we are allowed to speak about people. Helen was just a ‘bimbo’, has a great bikini body, squealed at the trials, and yeah, a bimbo.
“I think online people might say that but the press won’t be able to do that to her this time which I think is good cos any blonde with big boobs is going to get that is she a bimbo?
“No, honestly I love watching her Instagram she seems like such a lovely mum, she’s happy to be seen with no makeup on, and she seems quite real to me.
“Ten years later and three kids later, I think she’s going to try her best. Do I think she will be the best a the trials? I’d be shocked, but neither would I. Do I think she would be more hardcore? Yeah, I think she’s going in there to prove a point.”
When asked who she think has a gameplan on the series, Nicola answered: “I mean gameplan you won’t be able to have, it will just be how good you are at the trials, and that will show you who is that desperate to win it and who will go to any length to win the trials.

“Unless people have had a lot of therapy, although I do think Helen had been given the techniques to cope with things. When she was settling herself and telling herself to breathe, I think she asked for advice on that, which could be seen as a game plan.
“Although, I think she was brilliant when she was doing the trial.”
