Inbetweeners legend James Buckley left mortified over haemorrhoid medicine blunder

Actor James Buckley was left red-faced after his haemorrhoid medicine was delivered with the label visible for the postman to see.

The Inbetweeners star, 35 – famous for playing foul-mouthed teenager Jay in the hit sitcom – has been suffering with discomfort when he sits down or uses the toilet due to having an irritated anus.

Although James is adamant he doesn’t have full-blown piles, he didn’t want to aggravate the situation so decided to bulk-order Anusol Soothing and Cleansing Flushable Wipes.

But he was mortified when his order arrived and despite the plain brown cardboard packaging, it was emblazoned with a sticker that revealed his embarrassing items.

James said: “It’s really out of order.

“I’ve not got piles, but this is preventative. So even if you’ve not got piles, get yourself a flushable, medicinal wet wipe.”

James made the decision to buy Anusol wipes after experiencing an excruciating toilet visit when he cleaned up after using regular products.

He added: “Don’t use scented ones. Don’t ever use scented, flushable wet wipes. The anus skin is very sensitive.”

Plenty has changed for the actor since leaving the Channel 4 sitcom, as he is close to raking in an impressive £1million from selling personal videos to fans.

The star has 4,544 five-star reviews on Cameo for clips he’s flogging for £42.50 in which he recreates his classic show catchphrase “bus w*****s”.

But he admitted that no money in the world would be enough for him to return as Jay.

He told Radio X presenter Christ Moyles: “I don’t want to go near it anymore, not because I don’t think I would have an amazing time doing it, because I know I would.

“I love the boys, I love the writers. Doing The Inbetweeners was the best job in the world.

“All we did was muck around all day long and they filmed us doing it, and, at the end of the day, we might have had an episode… or a film or something.

“But it might – you know, as I’m getting older – it’s looking like it might be the only thing that I do professionally that is universally loved.

“There’s not enough money in the world for me to spoil that,” he confessed earlier this year.
