Coronation Street’s Carla Barlow could suffer a “downward spiral” after her husband Peter left the cobbles last week, AI has claimed.
The character, played by Alison King, has been a regular face on the ITV soap for years – making her debut back in 2006. Since then, she has become a firm favourite with viewers.
And it’s fair to say the brunette beauty has been involved in several explosive storylines over the years in Weatherfield. Over on the soap at the moment, she is currently suffering from heartache in aftermath of Stephen Reid’s murder.

Loyal fans will recall, the cobbles killer (Todd Boyce) stole £250,000 from her business Underworld. Stephen was then killed when Carla’s husband (Chris Gascoyne) mowed him down in his car.
So far, Peter has managed to avoid any legal implications. However, he has been consumed with guilty after taking the Canadian killer’s life.
In a desperate attempt to move on from the horrifying incident, Peter left Weatherfield on Christmas Day, leaving his doting wife devastated. Last week, Carla jetted off to Spain in a last-minute effort to save her business.
This week, the star is set to return to the street, however the lavish trip was unfortunately a waste of time. The stress of the factory combined with Peter’s departure has left the business owner will leave Carla in a difficult position.
Now, Daily Star has quizzed one of the world’s most popular artificially intelligent ‘creative’ tools Bard AI to see if the star will recover from her emotional turmoil. The program warned fans that Carla could suffer a “downward spiral” in the months to come.
It explained: “Carla Barlow’s future on Coronation Street is uncertain after Peter’s departure, and a downward spiral is a definite possibility.” The system outlined several reasons that could lead to her breakdown.
Bard AI outlined: “She’s a complex character with a history of addiction, manipulation, and recklessness. Losing Peter, who’s been her anchor and source of support, could trigger past demons.

However, it went on to suggest ways in which Carla could avoid a downward spiral in the new year. Bard AI pointed out: “Her resilience and strength have got her through tough times before.
