Lorraine Kelly has come under fire from viewers after she gave away actress Anne Reid’s age when she’d asked her not to.
The TV presenter interviewed Last Tango In Halifax star Anne on Tuesday’s (18 July) instalment of her ITV show.
And during their chat she told viewers that she had promised Anne not to share her age.

However, as their interview came to an end Lorraine said that, for any Bingo players, it was “two fat ladies” – revealing that the actress is 88.
Some fans were unimpressed and took to Twitter to say they didn’t think it was on.
“Lorraine: Anne doesn’t want me to mention her age, but if this were Bingo it’d be 2 fat ladies,” tweeted one person, with a GIF of someone shouting: “You’re despicable.”
Another posted: “Anne Reid didn’t want her age disclosing…. So why does #lorraine do?? DISCLOSE HER AGE!!!”
“If looks could kill,” said somebody else.
“Not pleased you said her age and why would you?!!”
Someone else chimed in to say it had been “lovely” to see Anne on the ITV programme.
“She really is a national treasure,” they said.
“Can’t believe she’s 88. Love her.”
There was also an awkward moment earlier in the interview, when Lorraine said what an incredible career Anne had had, and the actress disagreed.
“I’ll argue with you about that,” she said.
“The last 20 years have been great, but before that, you know it was alright… I always worked but I never got leading parts.”
The Dinnerladies star went on: “People say, ‘You’ve had a wonderful career.’
“I would have liked to have played leading parts.”
