A man from Kentucky had a very strange method of getting cast in CSI: Vegas after pretending to be dead for 321 days.
Josh Nalley went viral on TikTok for his videos, in which he would lie down in various locations and pretend to be a corpse.
Holding his breath and covered in fake blood, the star posted a video to the site every single day for nearly a year, with the caption: “Day X of playing un-alive until I’m cast in a movie or TV show as an un-alive body.”

Josh was finally given his shot at fame on day 321, when he was cast as a dead body in the second season of CSI: Vegas.
The show’s official account commented on one of his videos, writing: “You free this week…?” as Josh responded: “Yes I am…”
Josh confessed to the Courier Journal that despite having no formal acting experience, he’s learned to embody the essence of a corpse thanks to a lot of practice.
He initially got the idea after watching a woman post about hot sauce on the video platform, who was later flooded with offers from retailers.
He explained: “I don’t like speaking on camera, but I can lie there and act like I am dead pretty easily.
“Having done more than 300 of these posts, I have progressed and gotten better. At first, you could see me breathing, or the fake blood looked really bad.
“I have gotten rid of using the blood and gotten better at holding my breath.”
Josh said there has to be movement in each video in the background to stop it looking like a photograph, so that he stuck out as a still, immovable object.
He was finally flown out to California to meet director Mario Van Peebles, and shared a behind-the-scenes post which saw him in the make-up department to have fake scars applied to his chest.

But it wasn’t all plain sailing, as he messed up one take on set after leaving his phone on when a telemarketer rang – much to the disturbance of the cast and crew.
It seems the star has been bitten by the acting bug, as he’s back on TikTok posing as a dead body to score another role.
But he has no plans to quit his day job as a successful restaurant manager.
