Former Love Island star Davide Sanclimenti has spoken out after his girlfriend Ekin-Su landed in the dreaded skate-off on ITV’s Dancing on Ice.
Lovebirds Davide and Ekin were crowned villa champs of Love Island 2022 and have been going from strength to strength as a couple ever since.
But Ekin looked gutted when she found herself in the bottom two in the first week of the new series of Dancing on Ice, despite host Holly Willoughby branding it the “sexiest performance” they’ve ever had on the show.

She managed to get 21.5 points out of a possible 40 from the judges with her racy routine to Britney Spears’ Toxic with partner Brendan Hatfield, but she’s set to fight for her position in the skate-off next Sunday (January 22) following the public vote.

Davide addressed the skate-off on Monday’s (January 16) Good Morning Britain, where he admitted Ekin was feeling “a bit upset” about the skate-off.
Praising her performance in front of hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls Davide said: “What I’ve actually been proud of is she’s entering the character, and she did a very good performance.”
Dishing on how she’s feeling, he explained: “The fact that now she’s in the skate-off, naturally she’s a bit sad.”

“Last night we had a long talk, but I know that she knows she’s a strong woman, she’s very determined, she knows what she wants, and I think this will now push her to be better week by week.”
It comes after fans reckoned both Ekin and Davide were ‘fuming’ about the result during the show.
One fan on Twitter wrote: “Ekin-Su and Davide FUMING that she’s in the bottom two! Yikes.”

Host Holly said: “That may have been the sexiest performance we’ve ever had on Dancing on Ice,” while judge Oti Mabuse said the performance was “hot, hot, hot from the outfit to the hair to the makeup”.
