Love Island fans 'complain to Ofcom' as they fear Zara is being 'bullied'

Love Island fans are threatening going to the regulator, Ofcom, as they fear Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown is being “gas lit” and “bullied” in the villa.

Amid the love triangle between Zara, Olivia Hawkins and Tom Clare, fans of the ITV2 reality-dating show think that Zara is being painted in a bad light.

With the Islanders taking part in a flirty game on Friday night (January 27), Tom – who Zara is coupled up with – flirted with other Islanders.

He was asked which three Islanders would make his “perfect partner” – and his answers left a bad vibe in the villa.

Tom picked Zara’s body, Olivia’s face and Lana’s personality.

With Zara completely broken that Tom had picked Liv’s face – who she isn’t the best of friends with – fans spotted on Sunday night (January 29) how the Islanders have started to “gaslight” Zara.

“If Zara gets dumped this week complaints will be made to Ofcom about bullying, these producers know exactly what they are doing,” penned one fan as Zara fumed over Tom’s choice and Islanders tried to reassure her and make it look like he was in the right.

“If I was in the UK Ofcom would have to block me because of the amount of reports I would file on these bullies,” added a second.

A third then penned: “I acc [actually] want to make an Ofcom complaint cos it’s mad how the whole villa is gaslighting Zara.”

While a fourth said: “No these guys are all SO cold towards Zara it’s disgusting. Why so much animosity towards her? This is BULLYING!!!”

Later on in Sunday night’s instalment of the high-drama reality show, Zara and Tom “parked” their relationship, which left fans claiming they had been “bullied apart”.

“So these people successfully bullied Tom & Zara apart. Wow,” wrote one viewer in sheer disbelief.

On Love Island’s Aftersun programme, which aired on Sunday night after the main show, Zara’s mum spoke to Maya Jama where she dubbed him as handsome but spoke of his “wandering eyes”.

Love Island airs weeknights at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with Unseen Bits airing every Saturday
