Martha Stewart shares secret to youthful appearance after ‘ageless’ swimsuit snap

Martha Stewart has shared exactly how she maintains her youthful appearance, after fans were shocked to see her ‘ageless’ swimwear snap for Sports Illustrated.

After the cover was released, the TV personality began receiving accusations of undergoing immense cosmetic surgery.

However, Martha, 81, said this simply wasn’t true, citing a list of ongoing holistic treatments.

“Well, it’s not true. I’ve had absolutely no plastic surgery whatsoever,” Martha told Variety.

“I have very healthy, good hair. I drink green juice every day. I take my vitamins. I eat very healthily. I have very good skin doctors. I’m very careful in the sun. I wear hats and I wear sunblock every single day.”

In the Sports Illustrated cover Martha can be seen perched on some outdoor decking, wearing a white low-cut plunge swimsuit paired with an orange puff sleeve jacket.

The 81-year-old looks radiant with her blonde hair curled and natural looking makeup to compliment her flawless skin.

In another photo from the shoot she adorns a red tight-fitting plunge dress while leaning back against a stone wall.

While in another snap, Martha emerges from the sea wearing a metallic swimsuit and oversized sunglasses.

The series of images that Martha shared on her Instagram received praise from fans who rushed to comment on the post.

“Martha, as always, you take risks and we women of a certain age feel validated by them. You are an inspiration in so many ways,” said one fan.

Another said: “I loved these photos. Good on you Martha for showing us that the dialogue around older women doesn’t always have to be negative. If a little photoshop happened who cares? Whatever it takes to be that fearless older woman is great.”

However, not all were as supportive with some criticising the star for promoting unrealistic body images.

“I know we’re all supposed to be in awe of this and think it’s anti-ageism but it’s actually insulting. She hasn’t aged well. She’s had lots of plastic surgery because she’s rich,” said one commenter.

However, Martha clapped back at naysayers, clarifying that the images do reflect her body.

“They are incredibly accurate,” she told Variety. “I was really pleased that there was not much airbrushing.”
