A new movie is set to take the crown from Terrifier 2 for the most terrifying film ever, after its predecessor had fans throwing up in cinemas.
Terrifier 2 was so gory that some viewers were handed branded sick bags before heading in to see it on the big screen.
And its sequel, Terrifier 3, is currently in the works, and has a “much bigger budget”– with filmmakers promising it will be “the most extreme yet”.

The indie horror franchise has announced that the third film in the series, following killer clown Art, will begin to be filmed late in 2023.
The first movie was made on a budget of just $35,000, with the second movie coming in at around $250,000 – and raked in more than $15million around the world thanks to huge social media success.
Founder of French film distributors The Coven Priscilla Smith has detailed plans for a third film in the works, with writer-director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone both returning.
The film’s budget will be in the low to mid seven figure range this time, according to Deadline.
Smith explained: “There will be a much bigger budget this time around, which is intended to give the filmmakers more creative freedom and let them be as wild as they can be. And, all jokes aside, we are going for that Oscar this year.”
While director Leone added: “Terrifier 3 will be another boundary pushing addition to the horror genre, continuing the no holds barred, uncompromising exploits fans of the franchise have come to expect and celebrate.
“If you thought Art the Clown’s reign of terror in part 2 was extreme, you haven’t seen anything yet.”
David Howard Thornton is expected to reprise his role as Art the Clown, with rumours circulating that Lauren LaVera – who played Sienna in the first films – will also return.

Terrifier 2 was so horrific that it reportedly caused viewers to throw up and pass out while watching.
One audience member posted a picture of emergency services attending his friend after watching the film, writing: “#Terrifier2 my friend passed out and the theatre called an ambulance. Highly recommended.”
Someone else echoed: “Just saw Terrifier 2. It was an amazing gory mess. The guy behind me passed out cold [and] crashed into my chair, another guy left because he didn’t feel good, I overheard him say and walking out theatre door I heard a guy puking hard & loud in the bathroom.”
