Oti Mabuse's Dancing On Ice future up in the air as she 'hasn't been invited back'

Oti Mabuse has revealed that she’s still waiting for her Dancing on Ice contract as she hasn’t been invited back as of yet.

The 32-year-old became a judge on the ice panel in 2022 and continued to work on the show this year alongside judges Jane Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo.

But while speaking to This Morning presenters Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle on Friday’s show (April 14), Oti confessed that she is waiting to be invited back to the show.

Kickstarting the conversation, Josie asked: “Dancing on Ice has been announced, can we expect to see our Oti?”

The professional dancer replied: “Look, I’m waiting for the contract!”

She continued: “The thing is I have to say it’s such an honour and privilege to be on a show like that you know.

“And big shows like that you have to be humbled that ITV are a channel and dancing show that actually sees you and wants you to be a part of that.

“So if they want me back because they do have to invite you back, you can’t just walk into ITV and say ‘this is my job’, if they do then it would be absolutely great,” she explained.

Although her future on Dancing on Ice may be uncertain, Oti will be hosting a brand new talk show on Saturday mornings.

The new series called Oti Mabuse’s Breakfast Show kicks off on April 15 at 8:30am on ITV 1.

Discussing her new programme with the presenters, Oti revealed that this was something that she always wanted to do while describing it has her “dream” role.

Talking about her food based programme, Oti said: “I wanted it to be about positivity, I wanted to have open conversations. Things that I love.

“I love being on my phone on internet but looking at the positive stuff and talking about upcoming shows.

“So it’s a mixture of a lot of things and cooking because I’m terrible at it.

“So this is my way selfishly of learning how to cook,” she added.

As well as Oti’s new weekend show, ITV has also offered former Love Island host Laura Whitmore a new programme at 8:30am on Sundays.
