The next This Morning star tipped to quit ITV show — and it’s not who you expect

The next This Morning host tipped to leave the ITV show has been revealed by the bookies.

The long-running programme, which has been airing since 1988, has been in the headlines as of late – following former host Phillip Schofield’s shock affair confession.

After Phillip stepped down in May, Holly Willoughby had a revolving door of temporary co-hosts filling Phillip’s seat in the studio.

Bosses have since confirmed thought that Holly will continue to host This Morning without a permanent co-host when she returns in September.

She’ll be joined by the rotating list of co-hosts including Dermot O’Leary, Alison Hammond, Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson.

However, it now appears that one of the This Morning hosts could be saying goodbye to the ITV show for good, according to the bookies.

In an exclusive prediction provided by BonusCodeBets, it is claimed Craig Doyle is the most likely star to leave the show, with odds of 6/4.

As well as his This Morning stint, the 52-year-old is also a main anchor on BT Sport Premiership, European Champions Cup rugby coverage and MotoGP motorcycle racing.

And bookies reckon with the Rugby World Cup coming up later this year, Craig could walk away from This Morning “to focus on his passion for sport”.

Craig confirmed he was taking a break from the show last week too, with him heading on his holidays.

The odds put Craig ahead of other co-hosts Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond who are at 2/1 and 4/1 respectively.

As for Dermot O’Leary, the bookie has chalked up the former X Factor host at 6/1, followed by Bristol beauty Josie Gibson with 8/1.

A spokesperson told Daily Star: “Craig Doyle is the presenter most likely to leave This Morning, according to the odds at 6/4, with the 52-year-old working on a number of other projects outside of the show.

“Particularly with the Rugby World Cup later this year, this could see Craig depart to focus on his passion for sport.”

They added: “Otherwise Holly could be next in line to leave at 2/1. With Philip Schofield’s departure earlier this summer, Holly lost her long-term TV co-host and finding another presenter to share the same chemistry on screen may prove to be difficult for ITV.”
