According to AI, Last Christmas could top the charts once again. They said: “It is a very popular song that has been a Christmas favourite for many years, and it has a strong chance of being a hit again this year. “There are many new Christmas songs released every year, and if there is a new song that is particularly popular, it could take away votes from Last Christmas. Christmas music is generally more popular in some years than others, and if Christmas music is not very popular in 2023, it could make it harder for Last Christmas to reach number one.
“Overall, Last Christmas has a good chance of being the number one single for 2023, but it is not guaranteed. It will depend on a number of factors, including the popularity of the song, the release of new Christmas songs, and the overall popularity of Christmas music.”
Outside the United Kingdom, the song topped the charts in Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Slovenia, and Sweden and peaked within the top ten of the charts in several countries including Australia, Canada and the United States.
