She said: “Christ I’ll miss you so much Jord, what a radio legend and sweet sweet love. Will be voting for you every night on CBB!!”
After seeing the post, one fan wrote: “I really hope Jordan is in CBB.” Another said: “Hoping his on CBB!! Don’t want Jordan to go.”
While a third chimed: “There’s been this huge outrage over Jordan North being replaced but I think he’s going to be on CBB? He wrote on his post that he’ll be back soon with a winky face emoji & he still has bbcr1 presenter in his bio. Plus the timing & the abruptness of everything.”
Although it’s not certain whether Vick was joking, Jordan replied to her post with a laughing face and heart emojis. Vick also shared a lengthy tribute dedicated to Jordan on her Instagram.
Some of her tribute read: “Absolutely gutted, to be honest. Our @jordannorth1 you’re a true @bbcradio1 legend, a dreamy co-host, and an incredibly special friend. There are too many memories for these collages, but what a laugh we’ve had.
“Thank you for sharing your wit and your warmth; your stories, your skill and your spirit. Going Home with Vick and Jordan has been such a mad, chaotic ride, I’ve loved being on this journey with you for a little bit, and will always support and cheer for you as you embark on the next chapter.”
Jordan’s departure from Radio 1 hasn’t left fans pleased. This is due to many assuming that MIC’s Jamie got the role due to “classism”.
