As fans get ready to watch the famous housemates take on tasks and nominations, Daily Star has taken a look back at some of the previous winners.
Ulrika Jonsson
Ulrika won the sixth series of the show back in 2009 with the former Gladiators host managing to beat out the likes of Tina Malone, Michelle Heaton and LaToya Jackson to come out on top. After her stint on the show, she went on to be the team captain of the long-running TV show Shooting Stars on the BBC until 2011. Following this, Ulrika kept her head down, loving it up with new hubby Brian Monet. In 2019, it was announced the pair had split and Ulrika was back on the market. She appeared on a slew of dating shows including First Dates and Celebs Go Dating, all of which failed to land her a new beau.
Denise Welch
Loose Women star Denise had a turbulent time on Big Brother, but came out as the winner of the ninth series of the show in 2012. The former Coronation Street star became a pariah after regularly getting drunk and stripping off in the house. Soon after leaving the show, the 65-year-old split from then-husband Tim Healy. Denise also dramatically “walked out” from Loose Women in 2013, citing differences between her and ITV director-general Helen Ware. Welch eventually returned to Loose Women in 2018 and has become a regular panellist on the show.
Rylan Clark
Former X Factor star Rylan left the house to a rapturous applause after beating out baddies Heidi and Spencer Montag in 2013. This proved to be the beginning of Rylan’s illustrious career. Immediately after leaving the show, Rylan bagged himself a regular slot on This Morning presenting the entertainment news segment. During this time, he also managed to land a hosting gig for Channel 5’s side show for the reality titan, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side. Rylan continued to present the show until the series was cancelled in 2018. Since then, Rylan has appeared a slew of shows including Ready, Steady Cook and Celebrity Gogglebox.
Charlotte Crosby
Geordie Shore legend Charlotte won the twelfth series of the show in the summer of 2013. Crosby emerged victorious, beating out Five star Abz Love and former actress Lauren Harries. Reality star Charlotte was quick to land herself a slew of hosting gigs after she left the show, including the MTV hit series Just Tattoo of Us. She also appeared on Celebs Go Dating twice – in 2016 and 2019. In March 2022, she was added to a list of “non-compliant social media influencers” after failing to properly advertise products in a legal manner. Her most recent appearance came this month when she was revealed to be taking part in the Aussie version of The Masked Singer.
Katie Price
The Pricey came out on top in one of the most legendary series of the show in January 2015. Entering the series midway through, Katie defeated controversial columnists Katie Hopkins and Perez Hilton to emerge on top. Katie has since undergone a major transformation since her time on the show. She went under the knife for her sixteenth boob job last year, looking completely unrecognisable to her former self. Family and friends close to the former glamour model have expressed concern at her desire to find her “perfect” body. But Katie has slammed these ideas, saying it is her body and she can do what she wants with it.
Scotty T
Another Geordie Shore star, Scotty T left the CBB house as the winner after one of the most controversial series of the show ever in early 2016. The cheeky chap was able to beat out former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis, who had been cheating on her boyfriend with Jeremy O’Hara whilst in the house.
But despite his success after leaving the show, the pressure of fame got to Scotty, who quickly developed an addiction to cocaine. The habit became so strong that Scotty checked himself into rehab in Scotland in 2017, where he spent two weeks getting himself clean. After leaving the facility, Scott kept himself on the straight and narrow, but recently admitted he had relapsed and starting using cocaine once again. He insisted that he was doing the drug in a recreational manner and said it was due to losing several close people in his life, including his friends and his stepdad.
Stephen Bear
Stephen Bear came out of the house as one of the most unpopular winners of the show ever. However, the Ex on the Beach star lapped it up as he was flooded with work afterwards. Soon after his stint on the show, he got into a relationship with former Love Island star Georgia Harrison. But things took a sick and twisted turn when Stephen released footage of the couple having sex after the pair had broken up. Georgia took the reality star to court, claiming it was a breach of privacy for her. The presiding judge agreed and sentenced Bear to 21 months in jail for revenge porn.
Sarah Harding
Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding came in first place after a tumultuous time in the Big Brother hosue in the summer of 2017. During her time in the house, she connected with former Bachelor Chad Johnson. Things would take a sad turn for the singer as in 2020, she announced she was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. She fought a hard battle against the disease, but sadly lost her life in September 2021, at the age of 39.
