A TV crew boasted ‘exclusive access’ to the cemetery Liam Payne was laid to rest in.
Argentina’s Socios del espectáculo delivered a broadcast from the British Cemetery in Buenos Aires, where Liam Payne lay before being flown back to the UK. The late 31 year old tragically died on 16 October after falling from his third-floor hotel balcony, suffering multiple injuries that led to “internal and external haemorrhage”.
Before being repatriated, Liam’s remains were kept in Argentina for three weeks as medical officers conducted an autopsy and then embalmed his body. A male presenter from Argentina TV’s Socios del espectáculo filmed outside the cemetery and then went inside – footage Daily Star has opted not to show.

The broadcaster boasted about having “exclusive access” to the chapel where Liam had been, describing chilling scenes of the star’s body still lying there. As he entered the building, the presenter told viewers that Liam’s funeral would see a gathering of numerous celebrities from music and entertainment, reflecting his international fame.

However, the Cementerio Británico de Buenos Aires confirmed to the Mirror that the late singer’s body was not present when filming began. They told the publication: “The coffin was here 5 days, time needed to prepare everything for the travel to England. In the video you can see our chapel and the place where the coffin was. This video was recorded 6 hours after the coffin was transported to the airport,” reports the Mirror.

Fans of Liam were left fuming by the broadcast and one commented: “How could they film inside the funerarium?” Another fan vented: “Damn they are real disrespectful,” while a third wrote: “Give the man some respect and let him rest in peace!”
It’s expected that Liam’s funeral will take place in the next few days.
