Eamonn Holmes is rumoured to be in the running for the next series of huge reality show.
The 64 year old presenter is reportedly being wooed by the Celebrity Big Brother producers, following its revival by ITV earlier this year. The potential offer comes hot on the heels of Eamonn’s recent split from his wife, Ruth Langsford, also 64.
Celebrity Big Brother made a triumphant return in March after a five-year hiatus, with famous faces such as Louis Walsh and Fern Britton gracing the house. Now, it seems Eamonn could be next in line for the reality TV experience.

An insider revealed to The Sun that the GB News presenter is on the bookers’ wish list for the upcoming series. They believe Eamonn would be a hit with viewers and are keen for him to join the show.
The source also touched on Eamonn’s health struggles, including ongoing back issues which have affected his mobility. They assured that any offer made to Eamonn would include guarantees about his wellbeing in the house, reports the Mirror.
A insider divulged that the offer on the table for Eamonn Holmes to join Celebrity Big Brother is a “meaty” six-figure sum close to £250,000 made with the intention to “try and tempt him in”. The source divulged: “Eamonn has always been wanted for Celebrity Big Brother but has never desired to participate.
“His recent split with Ruth and being forced to offload his Belfast estate to offset a hefty tax bill leads the bookers to believe he might be convinced this time around.”
Last month, Eamonn and Ruth, the couple who formerly hosted This Morning, declared an end to their marriage surpassing over a decade in a joint statement. It was stated therein: “[They] have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
The pair tied the knots back in 2010 and were in company for over twenty years. They share a son Jack Holmes, aged 22. Ruth had played the role of stepmum for years to Eamonn’s three offspring from a previous matrimony.
March this year saw the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother play out over several weeks. The title went to reality exposed star David Potts who stormed his way to the finale to compete alongside Strictly Come Dancing sensation Nikita Kuzmin and Coronation Street’s heartthrob Colson Smith, in addition to fellow housemates Louis and Fern.
