Eastenders fans all say Whitney’s exit is sealed after “two week” detail is unveiled.
BBC viewers are now certain that Whitney Dean’s career on the soap is coming to a swift end in less than 14 days. On Monday (May 6), Whitney, who is played by Shona McGarty, revealed plans to get married in just two weeks time to Zack Hudson.
Fans have predicted that the scandalous wedding will see the truth unveiled about Whitney’s husband-to-be. He is having a sordid affair with Lauren Branning – her best friend.

Social media goers believe the bombshell affair will tip pregnant Whitney over the edge, causing her to depart the BBC soap. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), one user penned: “Whitney’s exit has been going on since 1832 it feels. #EastEnders.”
A second person chimed in with: “That could mean Whitney’s only got 2 weeks left in Walford #EastEnders.” A third aired: “That’s Whitney’s exit date confirmed then – Zack and Whitney’s wedding in 2 weeks time.”
Meanwhile others were just relieved that there was an end in sight for the affair coming to light. One viewer wrote: “Thank god. It’s been literally months since the last time an affair comes to light just before or after the wedding.”
A second penned: “Not going to be a nice wedding with no kick offs #EastEnders.”While a third person pointed out: “Killjoy here – but don’t you need to wait 28 days for wedding Banns to get married #EastEnders.”
On Monday’s episode Whitney and her Zack stunned everyone when they announced they will be saying “I do” in just two weeks time. The pair decided they wanted to fast track plans – surprising everyone, including Lauren Branning.
Unbeknown to Whitney, Zack is actually having a affair with her best friend Lauren. It’s been going on for months, this despite Whitney and Zack both expecting their first child together.
Last week, Whitney had been enjoying Olly Alexander’s Eurovision visit to the pub so much that she decided to take a punt herself when it came to matters of the heart. In front of everyone in The Queen Victoria, she got down on one knee and proposed to Zack – with the pressure on, with everyone watching, of course he accepted.
Eastenders continues tomorrow on BBC One at 19:30.
