EastEnders fans are aware that George Knight has a secret brother – but now his identity has been ‘rumbled.’
Earlier this year, George (Colin Salmon) was left heartbroken after his adoptive parents Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) and Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) rocked up to the square. And after lying to him his whole life, the pair confessed a shocking secret.
It was revealed that Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) and Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) bought George as a youngster through a process known as baby farming back in the day. This is when children were illegally sold to couples by their biological parents.

George’s world was then turned upside down even more when he found out Eddie had been accused of murder and needed George for a character reference. And in a shocking turn of events, it was then revealed that Eddie had killed George’s birth father.
Despite showing up to court, George backfired on his plan to lie and he ripped Eddie to shreds at the stand. But George was left even more stumped when he noticed a woman rushing out, who he believed to be his birth mother.
The woman was then revealed to not be his mum, but was a family friend. She then told George that his birth mum, who was called Margaret Asare, died four months ago.
What’s more, it was then revealed that George has two younger brothers. Now, it’s been claimed that one of George’s brothers could be a past Walford resident: Gus Smith.
Soap fans will recall the character, played by Mohammed George, starred in the show for six years from 2002 until his exit in 2006. During his time in Walford, he fell in love with Sonia Fowler (Natalie Jackson).
The character also found himself embroiled in a feud with Sean Slater (Robert Kazinsky). And after reuniting with partner Keisha (Suzie McGrath), Gus left Albert Square to travel with her band – leaving fans gutted at the time.
And having Gus as George’s secret sibling would be “exciting,” according to AI. Daily Star has quizzed one of the world’s most popular artificially intelligent “creative” tools Gemini, to see if Gus could be George’s brother.
The program responded: “There are some possible reasons why this storyline could be interesting.” Gemini then added: “The identity of George’s secret brother would be a major revelation for him, and it would be interesting to see how this changes his relationships with other characters. It could also lead to exploration of their family history.”
It also noted: “The return of a previous character, Gus Smith, could be exciting for longtime fans of the show. It would be interesting to see how the character has changed and how he fits into the current storyline.”
The third reason Gemini points out is: “If EastEnders is known for incorporating surprising plot twists and family revelations, then viewers might be more likely to suspect hidden relationships between characters.
