EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick is refusing to ditch booze and sex before his Strictly stint.
Jamie, 30, is hitting the dancefloor in this upcoming series of the BBC show, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. But ahead of taking part in the show, he has admitted he is not giving up any of his worldly pleasures.
Speaking to MailOnline, the soap star said there would be no chance he could not take part in either ban. However, when asked about why he was not able to do either, he gave a heart-breaking response.

“No booze ban for me – I’ve never drunk ever in my life and no one loves me, so I can’t do a sex ban!” he revealed. “No bans for me, just loads of food.”
His statement comes ahead of next week’s launch show, when Jamie will find out which professional star he will be paired up with. But it seems that he might already have his eye wandering from the show after he sparked rumours of a relationship with his Albert Square co-star Jazzy Phoenix.
Despite only being on the show for less than a year, Jamie and Jazzy have been seen growing close very quickly. The pair often feature in each other’s Instagram posts and story uploads, with the duo leaning into the potential for romance allegations.
One particular snap caught many fans’ attention as the duo pouted at the camera in a black-and-white mirror selfie. Jazzy uploaded the snap to her Instagram story with the caption “Weekly gossip = complete”, sparking a wave of romance claims.
Jamie, who has been in Walford for 20 years, has not addressed the rumours of a romance with his co-star, opting instead to focus on his upcoming stint on the ballroom dancefloor. This will mark his return to Strictly, after having competed in the Strictly Christmas special last year.
Performing with pro Nancy Xu, Jamie admitted he was thrilled to win the competition, but wants to go the whole way again in the main series. He explained: “I had a ball doing the Strictly Christmas special last year, so when I was asked to join for this series it was the easiest yes!
“This is a fresh challenge and it will be so different to be learning a new dance every week and for the public to have their say,” he added. He will be taking to the dancefloor with a number of other famous faces, including former JLS star JB Gill and Love Island icon Tasha Ghouri.
Strictly Come Dancing is set to return this Saturday (September 14) after a tumultuous year backstage. Investigations into allegations of abuse and mistreatment remain ongoing, with the BBC set to reveal the results of the probe in due course.
