EastEnders legend Letitia Dean has been praised as she flaunted her major weight loss.
The soap star, 57, partied the night away on Monday night (September 30) after leaving the Inside Soap Awards in London. Fans, however, were left stunned as she strutted her stuff out of the venue, proud of the pounds she had dropped.
Letitia wowed as she worked her stuff in a sleek black dress as she accompanied her BBC co-stars to the glamorous event in the centre of the capital. Leaving the show holding hands with a good pal, she was beaming with delight as she smiled for the cameras.

Having starred in the show on and off since its inception in 1985, Letitia is no stranger to successful soap nights, and the soap cleaned up at the event on Monday night. Letitia herself also secured a gong and won the Best Showstopper Award.

She was able to bag the nod for her chilling role in “The Six” plot at Christmas, which saw Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright, kill Keanu Taylor, played by Danny Walters. Speaking to reporters after the event, Letitia appeared thrilled to have played a part in one the soap’s most-anticipated plotline climaxes.
This is also not Letitia’s first time in stealing focus, as she flaunted her new body for the cameras. In the space of four months, the soap star has been able to drop four dress sizes, and has said that she feels more confident than ever.
But this has come at a cost over the years, as Letitia admitted that she does often struggle with her body, and often fluctuates with her weight – which had been seen over the years. In 2022, as she appeared to gain weight once again, she became the victim of cruel online trolls, which she said impacted her deeply.

“I had quite a lot of horrible things said about me,” she said in an episode of the EastEnders spin-off Secrets from the Square. “‘She’s too fat, the other actors complain they can’t fit on the same set with her.'”
Throughout her time in Walford, actress Letitia has been the subject of intense scrutiny for her weight; this grew to such an extent that she underwent a breast reduction surgery as a teenager. Though she admitted there were health benefits to the procedure, she revealed that she was inspired to go under the knife to appease the trolls.
Speaking candidly to Hello! magazine back in 2001, the star said that she had been suffering from backache, but her insecurities also played a part. “I was a lot less secure about myself and there was a lot of focus on how I looked,” she admitted.

Since then, however, Letitia has been determined not to pay attention to the haters and continue with her career, signing up to Strictly Come Dancing in 2007 to reach fourth place. Following her time on the show, she said that the competition had inspired her to focus on her weight loss.
