EastEnders fans fear that Linda Carter could be saying her goodbyes to the soap.
Soap favourite Linda (Kellie Bright) has battled her alcoholic addiction for years. However, she relapsed recently following the shocking events of Christmas.
As fans will recall, Linda ended up killing Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) in defence of her pal Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean). The rest of The Six then covered up the murder by dumping Keanu’s body in the cafe.

In typical soap fashion though, his body was eventually discovered causing panic among the ladies. However, they set up Dean Wicks for Keanu’s murder – with him getting sent to prison for it.

But despite so far getting away with the crime, Linda has still been racked with guilt. She has also hit the bottle again, causing Sharon and son Johnny to intervene in heartbreaking scenes aired on Tuesday (June 13).
Sharon then accompanied Linda to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting – with Linda vowing to get sober. And in episodes this week, Keanu’s funeral takes place – which will no doubt cause more distress for Linda.

However, fans are now fearing that Linda could be making a shock exit by getting killed off, in a heartbreaking twist. Sharing their thoughts online, fans reckon she could end up dying due to her alcoholism.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Is Linda gonna go down the Angie Watts route and die of cirrhosis of the liver?”

Someone else added: “I fear Linda may go the same way as Angie in #EastEnders. So they’re going to push to kill her off? I hope not. Kellie Bright is a huge asset to the show.”
A third wrote: “I love Linda!!! She’s one of my faves!!! Don’t send her to prison for Keanu eventually … or have her die of alcohol related illness.” Another person said: “Linda needs to leave the Square for her health.”

While on a Reddit thread, other fans echoed a similar theory. One person wrote: “This story will end with one of Linda and Dean dead and the other going down for a very long time.”
Someone else added: “Her character seems unable to recover from her crime and Mick and Dean. This is exactly it.
“We’re now in this cycle with Linda’s alcoholism – which will keep being tested, especially after the development in today’s episode. I’m currently getting the vibe that Johnny was brought back to facilitate a Linda exit.”
