EastEnders star Kellie Bright has teased what could happen if Linda is exposed as Keanu’s killer.
On Christmas Day, Linda fatally stabbed Keanu (Danny Walters) to stop him from killing Sharon (Letitia Dean). Along with the rest of The Six, Linda dragged Keanu’s body to the café and hid his body underneath the floor.
Struggling to cope, Linda quickly turned back to alcohol. While she is desperate not to go to prison for the crime, Kellie admitted the truth could set her character free.

Speaking to TV Times, the actress said: “I think in some ways, Linda would be relieved if she got found out. As much as she is covering this up because she doesn’t want to leave her children, on some level she believes she deserves to be punished, which is why she’s drinking again.”
The 47-year-old continued: “I think she thinks there is something inherently dark and wrong with her. The only thing I can get my head into is thinking of an ink blot in her soul that is gradually seeping and getting bigger and bigger; that blackness where you can’t wash it out. It’s a bit Lady Macbeth.”
Kellie, who made her debut as Linda at the end of 2013, added: “What would break her would be leaving her children. Because even when she’s drinking, she can justify that and think ‘Yeah, but I’m still here. I’m still being their mum.’
“She would lose them to a certain degree, because she would not be there while they grew up. I think that’s the thing that would break her, not actually being in prison.” Linda’s struggles have only been made worse by Dean (Matt Di Angelo), who returned to Albert Square on Halloween.
Dean raped Linda in 2014, but has managed to convince Gina (Francesca Henry) that he is innocent. After meeting Dean’s daughter, Gina grew closer to the villain and they are now a couple.
During Monday’s episode (January 22) of the BBC soap, Dean told Gina he wanted to go public with their relationship. Gina was hesitant however, worried about the reaction she would receive from her family.
Later, after some words of advice from Ian (Adam Woodyatt), Dean marched into The Vic with a bunch of flowers. Despite George’s (Colin Salmon) demands for him to leave, Dean confessed his love and kissed Gina, leaving Linda and The Knights sickened.
