Emily Atack holds growing baby bump as she wows fans in plunging gown

Emily Atack proudly showed her growing baby bump as she attended the BAFTA Awards’ Rising Star party on Wednesday night (January 31).

The former Inbetweeners star revealed she was expecting her first child with her scientist boyfriend Dr Alastair Garner last month. Emily, 34, had previously kept her relationship under wraps, before going public with Alistair – the step-son of her aunt, Jane Robbins.

Since then, the pair who have known each other since childhood, have been spotted together on several occasions as they prepare for their baby’s arrival later this year. On Wednesday, however, Emily was flying solo as she attended the lavish bash at London’s Four Seasons Hotel.

Emily beamed from ear-to-ear for the cameras, meanwhile, as she cradled her bump. She complemented her look by curling her famous blonde tresses and accessorised with a black clutch bag.

Also present at the star-studded event hosted by Vanity Fair, were Loose Women’s Frankie Bridge, comedian Katherine Ryan and radio presenter Vick Hope. Oti Mabuse, Emma Willis and Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts were also in attendance at the party – which celebrated the achievements of those nominated for the BAFTA’s only award to be determined by the public. The main ceremony takes place on February 18.

Announcing she was expecting late last year, Emily penned on Instagram: “I’m delighted to share with you all that we’re having a baby!! Every day is mixed with thrill, fear, joy, hysteria, topped off with a lot of vomiting – a bit like when you’ve just stepped off of the Oblivion at Alton Towers on a hangover.”

An insider detailed Emily and Alistair’s relation to the Sun shortly afterwards, explaining: “Emily and Alistair consider themselves more family friends but they are cousins who aren’t related by blood. They grew up together and have always got on really well, but last year they started to get closer. It has been a really natural evolution of their friendship and they both have strong feelings for each other.”

The insider added that the par are “thrilled” with the news and are really looking forward to becoming parents, whilst their families are “totally supportive” and think they’re a “lovely couple”.

Emily was believed to have been very close to her late uncle – Alistar’s dad, Steve, and was left heartbroken when he passed away last year. In a now-deleted post, Emily wrote: “It breaks my heart to say that on Friday we lost my beautiful uncle Steve. I often shared photos and stories with you all on here about him because I simply adored him. Everybody did. The smartest and funniest soul you could ever wish to have in your company.”
