Halle Berry stunned fans as she posed make-up-free and with long and thick armpit hair.
The James Bond beauty ditched the glamour to get into character for her new survivalist horror movie Never Let Go, in which she plays a mum trying to protect her twin boys in a dangerous world. She gave fans on Instagram a little peek at her preparation, with snaps and a video clip showing her far from red carpet ready.
Halle’s hair was loosely tied back, with strands escaping around her face, and she didn’t have on a scrap of make-up. She showed fans that her brows weren’t as well-groomed as usual and had one arm raised behind her head to show off the thick thatch of fake hair underneath.

Her arms were also covered in fake tattoos of spiders and she had the words “My life” emblazoned across one upper arm. Other snaps in the post showed her with a blonde wig cut into a choppy bob and on set as crew members applauded at the end of a shoot.
“Momma in the making,” she wrote. “One of the most complex characters I’ve had the pleasure of embodying.” Fans were blown away by Halle’s dramatic transformation, with one joking: “Well it’s almost winter. May as well start now.”
“Wow, the things actors do to fulfil the roles they’re in,” another person wrote in the comments section. “Thought for a moment Halle had started to grow an armpit jungle. So funny, LOL!!!” “Girl you had me scared for a minute,” remarked someone else, as another fan noted that Halle was “still stunning”.
Others praised the screen siren for being happy to shed her usual polished look for a part. “Halle, what I love about you transforming into character, you’re not afraid to not be glamorous all the time,” one said. “You have range and there are other actresses, respectfully, that want to be beautiful all the time, there’s no range at all. Even in a scary movie they want to be sexy and it’s like, come on.”
Another person wrote under Halle’s snaps: “What did Viola Davis say…? Acting is not about beauty. Miss Halle is certainly beautiful, but she knows how to compartmentalise the two. Bravo!”
“Grateful that beautiful women are allowed to be more raw and in your face with it now,” said another impressed fan. “Whenever she plays crazy or homeless, it’s a masterpiece,” said somebody else.
