Hollywood hunk used chubby body double for sex scenes after confessing big issue

One Hollywood actor has used a body double for a super saucy scene.

According to reports, Jude Law was unable to gain enough weight for the role in Firebrand. During a chat with Marc Maron, Law spoke about the issue and said: “In the time I had there was just no way I was going to be able to put on that weight.”

“We gained weight in another way. The clothes were so huge, they were voluminous. We put on weights and padding and all sorts of things to create the scale and the presence of the man.”

Ex-IT manager Dale Farrow was used as his body double and quipped: “You don’t see anything you wouldn’t on Skegness beach.” Law’s film is set to release later this year and the British historical drama also features Alicia Vikander and Eddie Marsan.

It originally premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023. An IMDb description for the film reads: “Katherine Parr, the sixth wife of King Henry VIII, is named regent while the tyrant battles abroad. When the king returns, increasingly ill and paranoid, Katherine finds herself fighting for her own survival.”

Jude also recently revealed that he once turned down playing Superman as it “felt like a step too far”. He chatted about his career on The Playlist’s Discourse podcast and revealed that 20 years ago he “felt off” about the offer.

Law told them “it was true” before explaining: “[…] There was a process of flirtation going on and I always resisted because it just felt like [off]. And I know you can say: ‘Well but you played Yon-Rogg and Dumbledore!’ It just felt like a step too far.”

He explained that he thinks the offer came “when Brett Ratner was going to direct” and he “didn’t have a script”. “I don’t remember reading one, this is a long time ago. They brought me the suit, they thought: ‘This might change your mind.”

Jude actually tried the suit on and “looked in the mirror” as he debated taking on the role, but later thought to himself “you can’t do this”.
