Fans of Home and Away have been left floored after they discovered one star has links to a Marvel legend.
Iconic actor Chris Hemsworth is now known for his slew of movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Taking on the role of Norse god Thor, he has become one of the most sought after actors in the movie industry.
But of course all actors must begin somewhere and Chris was no exception, with one of his first major roles coming when he starred in the Aussie soap, where he quickly became a fan favourite. Thanks to Summer Bay, Chris was able to hone his craft and develop his acting skills which then led to greater things.

And it seems that the show is more than happy to share in the pride, as Chris’ former co-star Kate Ritchie helped him to relive his days on the soap. This, however, led to a hilarious moment that left the hunk completely red-faced.

Chris was dropped in it when he was shown a scene from his early acting days during an interview with Kate, who plays Sally Fletcher on the soap, which airs in the UK on Channel 5. The pair were also joined by legendary actress Anya Taylor-Joy, as well as presenter Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli.
As Chris and Anya were on the promotional trail for their new film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Wippa admitted there was a surprise in store for the two. The interviewer then busted out his phone and pulled up a scene from the show, as Hemsworth immediately recognised what was about to happen.
“This is a clip from a small show called Home and Away, where you’ll see one of Kate and Chris’ first scenes here…” Michael said, as Chris looked embarrassed. Whilst Anya watched the clip, she looked on in awe, clearly in love with the star’s acting chops at the time.

“That was my first scene,” Chris mumbled as Kate was quick to shoot back at him. “Well, he was much better after working with me, Anya,” she quipped.
Chris begged for the cringe clip to be over, but Anya was having none of it, saying she “loved it”. Kate herself joked with the pair: “And you know what? Sometimes you go on to amazing things – I mean, Chris has just gone on to Furiosa or whatever, and I’m now doing Fitzy & Wippa!”
Chris first joined the cast of Home and Away back in February 2004, taking on the role of Kim Hyde. He starred in the role for three years before leaving the show in July 2007 to pursue other opportunities that had arisen for him.

During his stint on the show, Kim was involved in a number of harrowing storylines, including a terrifying surfing incident, a surprise pregnancy, drug dependencies and sexual assault. However, looking at his time on the show, Chris said at the time: “The role in Home and Away is consistent work for me and is a great experience; it is so fast-paced and basically it allows me to learn a lot about the industry.”
